"Fire alarm systems" refers to the technology used to detect and alert people in case of fire, typically through the use of smoke detectors and audible alarms. The aim of fire alarm systems is to provide early warning in the event of a fire, allowing occupants to evacuate the building and to alert the fire department in a timely manner.
"ASD" stands for "Automatic Sprinkler System Detection". This refers to a fire suppression system that uses sprinklers to control or extinguish a fire. The sprinkler system is activated when the fire alarm system detects a fire, and water is automatically released from the sprinklers in order to suppress the fire.
"Sampling pipework" refers to a network of pipes that are used to transport a small sample of the fluid in a system, typically for the purpose of testing, analysis, or monitoring. In the context of a fire alarm system, sampling pipework might be used to collect a sample of the smoke or heat generated by a fire, in order to determine whether an alarm should be triggered.
Together, these components work together to form a comprehensive fire safety system that helps to detect, control, and extinguish fires, and to ensure the safety of building occupants.
